I would not have painted Eastbourne like this, other than I had a client commission me to do another painting of it two or three years ago. I was impressed by how insistent they were that I included all the little spots that were part of their life such as the green grocer and the medical centre. It is a reminder of how people are looking for their everyday stories in these paintings. I struggled to get images I could work from for the hills and ranges, as from the town the hills seem small, and from the other side of the harbour you just see the mountainous ranges all hazy and dwarfing the township. Eventually I got my brother to take me out on his boat one summer evening to get the perspective I needed.

The prints of this image are limited to 120 in different number batches, all individually numbered.

The original has been scanned by a fine arts specialist to the highest resolution to create printed images with the best definition, detail and colour.

The small print is printed on heavy white paper and large print is printed on textured bright white photo paper with fade resistant inks. They are also available as giclee prints on heavy fine art paper.

The canvasses are printed on heavy textured synthetic linen with genuine lucea cannon inks guaranteed fade resistant for 70 years and are stretched over a frame.  For an extra $150 these canvasses can have a black or a white mounting frame around them.
